My bike no more...

Sold my bike at <$1000. Not going to bear the high cost of maintaining it and kinda danger on road also.
Had been fed up with it for quite some time cuss alot of parts is breaking down, once change all change.

Every maintenance work done cost me at least $250 ~ $500. Sian.. somemore it is only 6 yrs old. Guess that's the problem with continental bike not compatible with Singapore weather.

Well, it has serve me for 4 yrs, time really fly... time to give u a break.

See the scratch on my bike and imagine it on my right foot.

Bye bye 'mate!

Taiwan Zoo's Vet Hand Ripped Off...

Tht's the hand of the vet who was trying to medicate the nile croc. Unknowing that the tranquilizer has yet to take effect on the croc, he put his hand into the mouth thru a small grill.

Then the croc strikes! And his hand got ripped off....

Fortunately, his zoo mate managed to get the hand back from the croc after shooting twice on the croc. The vet got his hand reattached at the end.

What an exciting job in a zoo...

I can WALK!

The joy of being able to put my right foot on the floor is really joyful!

Just like a new born baby, first time touching the floor is really ..... really.. no word can describe.
Haha.. sounds abit over rite...

Well... if you had been crutches bound for at least 2 weeks, you will know the joy that I am enjoying, *choy!* of coz you say.... = )

My first step was.. wooo... no strength applied on the foot, abit wobbly... but i did my own rehab, use 1 crutch, then slowly without it.... walk a few step to strengthen my right leg. Tadah, on my feet!!!

Today went lunch with my bro, without crutches, although I walked like ah pek, still i managed to go out to eat! Finally..no more DODOL!

Tomolo, I will go to work on my own, taking bus no. 700! woo hoo... finally can go work... being staying home for so long... time to get out to the REAL WORLD again!!

The road to recovery...

It has been long.... long long...... took at least 2 weeks to see some better improvement.
But I am happy la.... God's healing hand has been there all the while.

I was supposed to change my antibiotic pills last monday if my foot swell does not go away. The pill will cost me, I think $6/tablet (no subsidy on this pill), imagine 1 week supply.
(2 pills/day) * 7 days = $84.

BUT... not required la. Phew... God healing hand working hard on my foot. =)

For the past week, had been eating home those Dodol instant Mee Tai Bak, Cup Noodle and u know wat, Good Friday holiday came!
So, Alice cooked some nice dishes... of course is home cooked dishes la... so happy, finally need not eat those INSTANT food. Sick of it liao....

Thank you dear!

MIssing in action for past week...

Had been injured from a minor accident last saturday (17 Mar 07), right foot badly abraised and stitched.

What happen?
Well... skidded from my bike, Piaggio X9.

How it happens?
Well.. prior to the accident, it was raining heavily and my bike brokedown. Waited at the roadside for about 15 mins and then managed to start my bike. So ride at constant speed as trying to keep it going (pretty near my place though).

So, rode at abt 50km/h, then suddenly the traffic light in front turn red, so i brake, woooshhh....
siiiiiiiiiihhhhhhhh.... skidded! Skidded on the right, dragging my right foot, i can still remember the moment my right foot's flesh open up and saw the white white flesh.. i think so.

I was sitted on the road facing back at the end of the ordeal. Stunned and got myself up and directed traffic. Thank God that 2 nice samaritan guys came down from their to help me. They pushed my bike to pathment and asked me whether i can call home and whether ok. So i think i am still ok, and then i said, i think i need to go to clinic to clean my wound. The younger samaritan told me he can fetch me there, so i thank him many times.

Then at clinic, i was referred to NUH A&E as the cut is too deep and need further cleaning. So, i waited my gf to come meet me and proceed to NUH. Time was : 12 midnite.
Took taxi to NUH with my gf at that early morning, arrived there within 15 mins, the pain kicks in and cant walk.

Then waited for half hour before a nurse assess my situation. Was taken twice X-RAY, cleaned wounds and stitched 5 times. Pretty deep cut and blood oozing out when the doctor injected the local anaestetic on the wound.

All these done and arrived home at 4am. Very tiring and not so pain after that cuss of a jab on my butt to reduce the pain. Managed to get some sleep.

The most important thing, I wanna thank my gf who had been by myside throughout the ordeal and pain. Thank you dear! BUT NOT forgetting God who had been protecting me from further damage.

Also, NUH doctor for doing their job well, though gotta wait for very long, the result was pretty good. Thank you.

Now I had been home recuperating for 1 week, very sian but at the same take some time to rest from work.

[Current status] Using crutches to walk and very tiring, walk about 2 meters is enough to make me sweat.

Thanks to all my friends who had been praying for me. = )
